a metaphor of transformation

akin to transmutation... from lead to gold

there was once a tale a long time ago

a once-upon-a-time-ago

'twas of a frog that became so much more

when kissed by the lips of love

of this story... i am certain...

yes... such was the case... this i believe...

and... are not fairy tales as real...

as life-as-we-know-it... in this world-weary age?

yes... this...  too... i believe...

so... speaking as a well known cabbage... once turned king...

i offer this insight... though insights as these are not so new...

even cabbages may get to have their day... in the sun...

and here's the thing... that day...

may just be today...
