Hey AI, tell me about a cabinet.

The AI said, “The Cabinet: A Cornerstone of Home Organization. Subtitle, A Comprehensive Guide to Cabinets.  Introduction.  A cabinet is a versatile and essential piece of furniture that serves as a cornerstone of home organization.”

Okay, stop there.  We have several.  I don’t need a 2000 word handbook. Here are the problems we can fix.

One.  Our TV cabinet door won’t close.  Okay, we aren’t even using it for a TV. There’s a printer in it, on the bottom, a vast empty space above that, and a small space for a video player right near the top and we don’t have a video player either.  Elizabeth stores her laptop on the video shelf.  I don’t think the laptop has been used in years because she doesn’t work from home any more.

Two.  Garage storage.  I am a firm believer that the only thing that should be stored in the garage is vehicles, except bicycles.  These should be stored in the living room, of course, where you can enjoy looking at them.

We have a two car garage.   It is impossible to get a car into the garage because of gardening paraphernalia, home gym equipment and sporting equipment.

So, Hey AI, why is it that my house has no storage inside it for things I would like to use and look at inside.  Why is my garage unusable for its sole purpose, vehicles?  Where did all this crap come from? And how can I store it?

Wait. I have another question for you AI. Respond to my last paragraph.

"It sounds like you have quite a challenge with storage in your home! One approach to tackle this issue is to start by decluttering and organizing each space systematically. For the TV cabinet, consider repurposing it for items you frequently use or need easy access to. You could remove the unused laptop and video player shelf, and instead, use the space for books, decorative items, or even a small indoor plant to add some greenery. As for the garage, it might be helpful to categorize the items into groups such as gardening tools, gym equipment, and sports gear. You can then invest in storage solutions like wall-mounted racks, shelving units, or storage bins to keep everything organized and off the floor, making room for your vehicles. By taking these steps, you can create a more functional and enjoyable living space. 😊"
