She slowly crept through the slightly open window to the small room. Sitting in the dark, she spun her body and let each of her children off. One by one the 347 scurried off her long translucent body as her legs, all eight of them, spread and panted to hold both onto the frame and the cornice.

Billy the Cart
Careening down the hill his billycart started to wobble badly. The ball-bearing wheels spun and threw sparks off the gravel-embedded asphalt.

‘Oh gawd, I’m gone.’
He pulled up at the hump around the cross bar and steadied his shuddering knees to try to stay straight. The rocks and hot tar sparked up behind him as the back wheels bumped and jumped to the spitting gravel. He flashes into the bottom of the hill and lent a hard left, his head nearly scraping the tar. His right knee tightened and just in the split second, straightened to push the bar forward. His left hand pulled hard at the hemp. The back wheels started to dig in then jumped sully off the tar and bounced sideways skidding, bouncing, spraying tar and ricks across the road. His left arm could barely hold the weight but he pulled harder. Billy skipped and danced. Left wheel dug in and scraped a divot around the corner. Yes AROUND the corner. He had made it. Made it without tipping or bouncing, or catapulting him out. The other boys cheered clapped and shouted.
‘Watch out for REX’
The massive red-dog couldn’t wouldn’t get off the road.
Barry squished into his red ropey fur getting a mouthful of dog dirt and fleas.
